Happy New Year to you all…
Another year is here with a successful Christmas behind us its time to look forward to an exciting 2012. The first change is my move to work from home so do check my contact details. Although i am based from home in Ilkeston, i will be using a studio in Nottingham for my portrait sessions but don’t worry it is only 10 minutes drive from Ilkeston and has plenty of FREE parking.
Saturdays portrait session was a very energetic affair with 19 people, OK some were babies and children but they were enough. You forget how much energy kids have, i’m glad it was the weekend so I had Sunday to recover. Haha

September in Ireland
September was a poor month weather wise especially in Ireland. Yes i was on my travels again across some water unfortunately there was just as much falling from the skies.
Any way Limerick was our destination this time. A civil ceremony at a hotel with little grounds so i scouted around to find a decent area for family photos and keeping my fingers crossed the rain stated away for a while. You guessed it soon after the ceremony dark clouds came across but i managed to get the family photos just in time. Bride and groom wanted photos at the park in Adare a traditional little town with thatched cottages. We were doing well and had almost finished the photo session when down came the rain again but we didn’t care the images where in the can.

Friday 8th July, What a day!!! I was photographing Pete and Nicola’s wedding at Morley Hayes Golf Club which was a fantastic intermate family affair. As you may all recall it was hit and miss with the British Summer, RAIN. Our good luck was we had a window of beautiful blue skies and sunshine. The photographs looked dramatic with stormy grey skies behind the subjects. A mere ten minutes after sitting down to the Wedding Breakfast the skies opened and a monsoon prevailed.

June has come and gone and so have the new batch of school leavers. I was again busy with The Ellis Guilford School prom held at The East Midlands Conference Centre where the students gave a fantastic display of party fashions. Congratulations to all the award winners on the evening and we wish all the students success in the future.
